Happy Chinese New Year from Opal Class! We have had a super learning week all about the Lunar New Year. We have made dragons and used the musical instruments to make music to dance to. We have had a go at using chopsticks and writing chinese numbers. We have made lanterns to decorate our classroom and learnt about why the colours red and yellow are lucky. At snack time we made a wish with a tangerine and had a go at writing our wish for the year ahead. We enjoyed listening to the story of the Great Race and used the puppets to retell the story. We were sad to hear the cat was last because rat pushed it so we wrote about how the cat felt. Well done Opal Class!
