The children in Opal Class were so excited about books and sharing stories after World Book Day that we set up a bookshop in our newly decorated library. A bookshop in Lytham had kindly provided the children in Opal Class with a World Book Day book so we took the opportunity to practice being shopkeepers and customers.
The children really enjoyed choosing a book and giving it to the shopkeeper to scan. They then gave their token and took their book to have a look at or share with a friend.
The children asked if they could have story time in the library and we chose one of our brand new books to listen to - it was a super story about a Fat Cat.
Keep a close eye on the latest news for our grand opening of our newly renovated library!
